Dashbox is "the" application the wireless portals have been waiting for. It offers the end users a way to control mission critical personal information and documents (think of it as a sort of personal insurance policy); it offers the wireless portals a way to generate minutes and reduce churn (both of the highest priority). Launched at DEMO2001, the application is now in beta with customers. Technology license fees to the portals coupled with revenue share of the end-users' subscriptions and transactions fees (in addition to revenue generating from a OEM retail version aimed at increasing membership and creating synergistic online/offline/wireless marketing)

Dashbox is looking for funding ($3.5 million) to enhance product and market reach.

ProviSoft develops and sells Application Provisioning software that enables companies to easily and flexibly aggregate, customize, deliver, and manage Web-based applications and services. ProviSoft was formed to address the rapidly growing market for web-based solutions and the need for "mass customization", where organizations control and manage disparate solutions and functionality across multiple and overlapping end-user groups. Based on ProviSoft's proprietary Provisioning Engine (provisional patent being submitted), the product enables all aspects of the delivery environment and the applications it contains to be customized "on the fly" for different audiences and delivered in an easy to use virtual windows workspace. The company's provisioning software allows Solution Providers and Enterprise customers to take the customization and provisioning of applications out of the realm of programming and move it into the technology stack. By making the provisioning of applications to specific users and groups part of the platform, we impact how efficiently organizations address their customer and end-user needs by reducing development costs and speeding time to market. Based in San Francisco, ProviSoft was founded by former executives of Desktop.com in January 2001. A portion of ProviSoft's technology was acquired from Desktop.com, which is the result of 18 months and approximately $6.0M of product development effort. The company has generated prototype revenue, is finalizing an OEM contract with its first partner and has an active sales pipeline. ProviSoft has assembled a senior engineering team of five who are working on the first full release of the product by late-July.
